Kékfrankos Wine from Hungary

Kékfrankos is one of Hungary’s most important red grape varieties, known elsewhere in Central Europe as Blaufränkisch. In Hungary it produces vibrant, food-friendly reds with fresh acidity, red and dark fruit, peppery spice and the ability to reflect regional differences.

The variety plays an important role in Szekszárd, Eger and Sopron and is also a key component of many traditional Bikavér blends.
